The Land Use Office is the principal agency responsible for administrative and technical support for the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Township of Mansfield.
In addition, the Land Use Office provides administrative and technical support for the enforcement of the Municipal Land Use Law and the Land Use Legislation of the Township of Mansfield.
The Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment generally review the following types of applications:
Variances
Permission to receive an exception to one or more provision of the Land Use Regulations. Example: conducting a business in a residential zone, placing a shed too close to the property line.
Site Plans
Development plan showing existing and proposed conditions of property (drainage, building, parking, etc.)
Subdivisions
the division of a lot, tract or parcel of land into two or more lots.
The Township of Mansfield Planning Board holds its regular meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Complex, 24548 East Main Street, Columbus, New Jersey. At 7:00 p.m. The board will meet in the conference room to review the agenda items.
The Township of Mansfield Zoning Board holds its regular meetings on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Complex, 24548 East Main Street, Columbus, New Jersey. Each regular meeting shall be preceded by a work session which commences at 7:00 pm.
A meeting agenda is posted on the main bulletin board within the Municipal Building the Wednesday prior to the meeting. Any questions concerning board agendas, meeting dates and times or application forms, please contact the Land Use Office at (609)298-0542 ext. 29 between the hours of 9:00 and 4:30.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment hereby designates the following dates of its regular meetings until the next reorganization meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, and unless otherwise modified by Resolution of the Zoning Board of Adjustment, there will be work session meetings beginning at 7:00 P.M. followed by the regular meeting at 7:30 P.M.. All meetings shall be held in the Mansfield Township Municipal Complex, 24548 East Main Street, Columbus, New Jersey.
