Mansfield Township will provide garbage collection to any residential dwelling or business except shopping centers and apartment buildings that meet the following requirements.
Any dwelling or business that generates more garbage than what is stated above must provide disposal for the entire collection at the homeowner’s expense.
Items not acceptable for garbage collection are cans, bottles, paper, asphalt, concrete, drums, tanks, leaves and construction debris.
Please call the Burlington County Landfill at (609) 499-5200 if you have hazardous materials such as paints, oil, asbestos, gasoline, pesticides, fertilizer, solvents, thinners, or any other waste in liquid form for disposal instruction.

** NOTE that certain streets in various developments still remain the individual Developer’s responsibility, therefore, pickup days may vary from the above schedule.
REMINDER: Garbage containers shall be placed adjacent to the street by 6:00am on the morning of the scheduled collection day, but not earlier than the evening of the day preceding a scheduled collection day. Scrap metal must be stacked neatly and cut into lengths not exceeding 6ft and 50lbs. Lawnmowers must be oil and gas free. Appliances containing freon require a permit sticker from the Clerk’s office. All doors on refrigerators and freezers must be removed.
